Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix
The sole purpose of the Concorso Arizona event is to promote a passion for Italian cars and bikes, and to support children's charities through this same passion. This year, the 2008 Concorso Arizona has once again chosen to work with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix as our charity of choice and we are proud to donate a portion of revenue generated from ticket sales and sponsorship to an organization that does so much for children and the community. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix mission is to provide temporary housing for families who must travel to Phoenix to receive medical treatment for their children. Children who are weak from illness and undergoing demanding treatment regimens need the support of their families to succeed in their journey to wellness. But for many families, the cost of staying in a hotel for even one night is prohibitive. We provide a warm and cheerful place where families can feel safe and supported as they manage the challenges of caring for a sick or injured child. After two expansions on the original property and the building of a 2nd House we now have the ability to provide a “home away from home” for 63 families every night of the year. Since 1985 Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix has provided a loving home for over 26,000 families. |
